About Me

Hi I am Chloe Swierczek, I am a junior at San Diego State University majoring in Hospitality and Tourism Management with an emphasis in meetings and event operations. I have had multiple jobs involving customer service and meeting the demands of the customer. In high school I was highly involved in the event operations for the students through ASB which led me to plan all school dances and all of the senior class events. My experience has driven me to find a career in the field of making others happy by planning events that they will remember for the rest of their life. Below you can see what has shaped me into the person I am today, and what qualifies me to become a better person tomorrow.
Work Experience
August 2021 - Present
I am also working part-time on campus as a Special Events Assistant at SDSU. I've assisted with multiple Aztec Nights and other school-ran events. I've learned the logistics of planning events and all of the extensive planning and preparation that takes place in order for an event to run smoothly and be successful.
June 2021 - Present
I am currently a server at Nautilus Tavern in La Jallo, CA. This has been my favorite job I've ever had and I've truly learned that I belong in the hospitality industry while being here. Every single interaction with a customer is different and always keeps me on my feet for what to expect next.
August 2019 - August 2020
I am currently an employee at Everbowl. This job has helped me with dealing with stressed customers who are trying to get food between their busy schedule on a college campus which has helped me adapt to exactly what the customer longs for.
2016 - 2018
I worked as a waitress at Blackburn's Farm to Table and this job taught me more than I ever thought it could. As a waitress, I learned how to balance multiple responsibilities at once, yet not letting the stress overcome me in order to still deliver the best possible service to the customer.

High school taught me many things outside of the classroom that began my interest in event planning today. As Senior Class President and the Dance Planner, event planning was my main focus in my last two years has a student. I held multiple events at a high school of over 4,000 people and it gave me true hands on experience.

In my college career, I have learned the logistics and the management side of the event planning business through many classes. In the year I have left at this school I look forward to all of the experience I will gain to be successful in my future career.
