Inspire Others
THE LONE TIGER

Hi, my name is Chloe Swierczek, and I am currently a Senior at SDSU Majoring in HTM- Meetings & Events and minoring in Marketing, and am graduating May 2022. I work as a Special Events Assistant at Student Life & Leadership at San Diego State and serve tables at Nautilus Tavern in La Jolla, California. I aspire to be an Event Coordinator one day, where I am granted the ability to create time and space for others to create ever-lasting memories for themselves. I want to reach my highest potential while doing so, and accomplish events that have never been done before and elevate the ones that have. I first discovered my love for event planning back in my high school’s ASB club. Being able to look back at all the events I created, brings me so much joy thinking about all of the happiness I was able to create for my peers.
This major has taught me a lot about myself through many self-assessments and forcing me to truly dive into what creates successful and amazing leaders/managers in this world. Through the print assessment & my own self-discovery, I’ve assessed that my core values are passion, teamwork, safety & security, communication, and enjoying life, and having fun.
Passion is a concept that is fairly new to me, and I was able to discover this through finding my love for health and fitness this past year. A huge role model for me is Olivia Amato, a Peleton instructor, and she has really paved the way for me to find my passion for creating a healthier, better life for myself. Fitness has taught me that I am very capable, and have the ability to shock myself every day. This spark of passion has taught me lessons that I’ve applied to all aspects of life, such as work and school. This past year I’ve been applying myself to the max in my coursework, as well as every time I am working at my jobs.
I also strive to be the leader that inspires others to do their very best as well. A quote that resonates with me is “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more, you are a leader”. I stress the importance of this, as I believe an organization is only as strong as its weakest link. When a company has multiple members all working together towards one shared goal, it is much more effective than having one strong member trying to pick up the slack for an entire organization.
